Jesus taught that His followers have responsibilities towards God.
The first responsibility is to have faith. Ours is the same way. The disciples’ second, responsibility toward God was humble service. Third, they should not expect special praise for doing things they were expected to do. Fourth, the servant does not get special praise from His Master for doing his job. Likewise, disciples have certain responsibilities which they are to fulfill in humility as disciples of Jesus, the Son of God & God’s servants.
Luke 17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
“Oh ye of little faith!”
When the apostles asked Jesus for more faith, Jesus said (It’s because of your unbelief). Jesus had some that doubted and did not fully believe. Even though they had seen, handled and walked along the side of Jesus as he performed miracles they had doubts… If ye have faith, and doubt not, you can do more precious things, like move a mountain! However, because we have doubts first and do not have faith, we cannot see the welcomed and joyful results. Everyone let’s move forward with faith together in this new year. Don’t you want to try? …
Luke 17:6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
Jesus answered that they needed not more faith but the right kind of faith. A belief in faith. Even the smallest amount of faith (like a mustard seed, the smallest seed;) You could do amazingly miraculous things, such as uprooting a sycamine tree (mulberry tree), a tree with deep roots about thirty feet tall. We need the right kind of faith.
The right kind of faith.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
If we believe with right kind of faith, for things the Lord says he will provide. When we pray in faith, believing we will get an answer, we pray with faith and it will occur. However it may or may not be the answer we want to hear. We always get one. Right! Yes, no, Maybe, or Wait. Do you know that our God is always fair to all of us? God answers our prayers according to our need.
Believe! Pray! Believe, Name it, Believe, Clam it, Believe, and Receive it! Amen!
God word says, we have not because we asked not. Pray for it!
Our whole Christian life comes down to what do you believe!
Do you believe in Jesus? Yes!
Do you believe the word of God is divinely inspired and infallible? Yes!
Do you believe you can do what God’s word say you can do?
Yes! Or we should, some of us doubt… Don’t do that. Trust God!

Let us start with the heart of the person.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
With the heart man believeth-Your heart is where your treasure lies, and God wants us to believe with all our heart, mind, and soul. Believe in God and His word.
Believeth unto righteousness-we believe God can change us into righteous people. Do you?
With the mouth confession-We must do it on our own no one else can confess for you with sincerity. We must believe our confession with our mouth of your sin not someone else’s will wash them away.
Confession is made unto salvation-our confession is so that we may gain free salvation from our sins. We must believe our confession will gain us free salvation.
We must follow the scriptures.
Romans 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
The scripture saith-God’s word is truth and if it says it that is final. We must believe that.
Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed- we should never be ashamed of the word of God or to even share it with others. Remember Timothy.
We are all the same sinners needing a savior.
Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
There is no difference between the Jew and the Greek- we are all the same we speak a different language. We are all sinners saved by grace.
Same Lord over all-no different Lord or God for all. Jesus is his name. the only true God. Jesus is merciful to all who call upon Him, and He comforts and embraces them with His love.
He is rich unto all that call upon him-all must call upon Jesus alone for salvation. He can do anything, He is rich, and He has the authority and power to create the earth and the sky and to raise the dead. Let’s rely on and believe in our God.
You must call upon Jesus’s name.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Whosoever- You and me all of us are whosoever’s. Everyone must call on Jesus!
No exceptions!
Shall call upon the name of the Lord- We must call on Jesus. Everyone must call upon Jesus alone for salvation.
Shall be saved- All will be saved. Not a might or a maybe it is a will be saved.
Jesus alone holds the key to our world and life and solves it. Jesus! I rely on the Lord. Please pray and ask Him to give me strength and faith and help me. Jesus is beautiful and gentle, and He comforts us.
We must believe.
Please seek Jesus and call Him, He will definitely answer!
We pray that you will become righteous children with the right faith.
Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? – faith comes by hearing and reading the word of God, and the gospel message. They must be shown.
How shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? – faith comes by hearing and reading the word of God, and the gospel message. They must be shown and read for themselves.
How shall they hear without a preacher? – faith comes by hearing and reading the word of God, and the gospel message in your local bible believing Church.
Blessed are those who hear and read the word of God and the message of the gospel, hear and learn from the Pastor in Church, and learn through Bible study.
Romans 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things!
How shall they preach, except they be sent? – faith comes by hearing and reading the word of God, and the gospel message. That’s right, so in the Church, we listen and learn from the words of the Pastor who prepared the word of God and the gospel, and we strive to gather together in Bible study and worship, and we become born again.
It is written- faith comes by reading the word of God, and the gospel message. We must listen to the word, read and learn together, and when we pray and receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit, our faith will grow correctly. Amen.
Romans 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? {Isaiah}
But they have not all obeyed the gospel. – Some have. Not all Jews, not all Greeks, not all Gentiles, and not all will be saved only those who call on Jesus.
Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? Some have.
They have not all obeyed the gospel- not everyone will be saved we cannot worry about this; God is in control. Let us not worry or be anxious about this, but go forward in faith and prayer, and become evangelists, boldly obeying the right faith with love so that others can receive the gospel, and in the sovereignty of God, I hope that you will overcome with the right faith that obedience is better than sacrifice.
How do you get the right kind of faith?
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
So, then faith cometh by hearing-First, for our faith to grow we must be in the word of God. The Church must have a good pastor and good leadership, and the church must become a place where only the Word of God is preached, and we must listen to the Word.
And hearing by the word of God- Second, we must be under good leadership where the word of God is taught, and we need to be in church to hear the word of God being preached. Where the Word of God is taught, there is peace and comfort for us, and with the grace of the Holy Spirit we can learn the right faith.

Romans 10:18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
Have they not heard? Yes!
Since they haven’t heard, they don’t long for the joy and blessing of coming to church. There is no other place in this world that teaches and preaches the good news and is in participation with salvation except church.
Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world- We need to be preachers and teachers that our sound goes forth to all the earth and to the ends of the world. Not just to ourselves but to others no matter where we are. Every Tribe and Nation.

You see our whole Christian life and faith comes down to what do you believe!
I pray that you will become people of the right faith who preach to everyone to the ends of the earth. When our entire Christian life is the right faith, we can become prayers and examples for those who don’t believe. Amen.
