All the worship we can give to our Lord Jesus cannot compare to His excellency. He alone is worthy of it; Paul says it is our reasonable service to give our life to Him. In other words, it’s our obligation. Especially when we consider God’s wrath is what we all deserve. When we consider our redemption from sin and what our great and glorious God has done on our and Israel’s behalf. Yes, we need to include Israel. Despite their mistakes and despite ours too. All that He has done for them was clearly shown to us in the Old Testament. We can read it. When we reflect at all He has done for us. We realize it was done to keep us and them in remembrance of who He is, and who Jesus was, and what He did for us and them.
First question, what is worship?
Worship is all acts of honoring and exalting God. Our worship is an act of honoring God through sermons, offerings, praise, prayer, and teachings advancing according to God’s will through His word.
If the worshiper seeks to gain some benefit from worship, then the meaning of worship is lost. Therefore, worshipers must worship God quietly, solemnly, and with a pure heart. That is we must worship God with our whole heart with pure intentions. God is the Creator who gave us life, and He is worthy to receive it, so we can receive blessings only when we worship Him wholeheartedly.
Psalms 22:27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
All the World should remember Jesus humble entrance and His willing sacrifice forever and should be passed down to every generation. Every tribe and every nation should be taught about the sovereignty of God. They should be taught to acknowledge and worship God and His creation, might and majesty. They also should be taught about Jesus and His teachings, miracles, and of the cruelty of the Cross endured for our salvation. God’s word must go forward to every generation.
Psalms 29:2 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
All our worship that we can give is due our Lord Jesus Christ. Because man could never repay Him for being the sacrifice for all mankind, taking a scourging for all mankind, baring the cross of crucifixion for each one’s sin. We ought never forget the cross that He bore for all of mankind salvation. It is impossible for us to even think that we could withstand doing it for anyone else let alone ourselves. What a loving and mighty God we serve. There is much beauty in His Holiness in all the plan that God laid out for mankind. Even if our praise were given 24/ 7 it would still not be enough. Nothing could compare to the Love God has for His creation (you and me). Amen!
Numbers 6:26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
Moses told Aaron and his sons to bless Israel, they had been set in order and consecrated to the Lord, and now God provided the blessing following their obedience. When all the world and every nation come together and follow in obedience to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God’s countenance comes down upon us and comforts us with His peace. Then our spirit is calmed as we worship and praise Him in our church services. Clear sign of Holy Spirit of comforting us.
Psalms 66:4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.
God is the creator of all that is in the earth, on the earth, and under the earth. We to must make our worship worthy of that which is fitting for a King. After all we are serving the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We also must make our salvation and deliverance appear more gracious, more glorious to all of earth’s inhabitants. With Jesus in our life, when trouble comes, He will deliver us from it, only if we are His children. All that trouble will appear less grievous each day with Him. We should shout and sing with a loud voice as if we were angels in heaven praising Him in all our services. For if we refuse to sing, all of God’s creation will sing out. The rock, the trees the mountains the sea etc… and we don’t want to be out done by them.
Psalms 86:9 All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.
I have said many times that it does not matter where you come from. What nation or country, or tribe you are from. Or color, even what your education level is, rich & poor, God loves all and will save all those who are willing to follow Him.
Psalms 95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.
This Hymn of praise written by David helps us to realize Christ is the Bread of life; he is the Rock of salvation, and all His promises are as honey to our minds. As we come together as a Church into His House of prayer to pray and worship Him, we must do our due diligence to worship Him with all reverence due Him now and forever so the next generation will learn from us. Humble ourselves, kneel our stiff knees, and bow our humble stiffer necks and fall prostrate before Him he will bless us.
Luke 4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
The Author of their sin is Satan our oppressor he leaves them to the lusts of their own hearts, and the ungodly counsels of their own heads and that has brought to them destruction, ruinous drudgery, and death. Our only way of escape from this, is if we accept salvation from Jesus Christ alone.; if we do not well, the blame must be upon themselves. The Lord is unwilling that any should perish. What enemies’ we sinners are to ourselves! It is sin that makes our troubles long, and our salvation slow. Those who reject him as their Lord and Master, must also lose him as their Saviour and their reward. Jesus is waiting to save you! Are you ready to be saved?
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
In our distress of conscience, we are led to cry out for deliverance, to the Lord Jesus Christ. The answers to our prayers, will set us at liberty. Convictions of sin, and trials by affliction, prove His regard to His people. If the Jews, on their solemn feast-days, were to call to mind their redemption out of Egypt. How much more ought we, on the Christian’s Sunday services, be called to mind a more glorious redemption, brought out for us by our Lord Jesus Christ, from His bondage of the cross. The truth of the matter is that today’s worship services are actively utilize modern culture in there worship to try to fully experience God’s presence. We seek to move away from traditional worship forms and pursue more free and open worship and the basis is focused on the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross that allows the believer away back to our Lord and God. This is ok but, we should never lose our focus that the meaning of worship is not for us but to honor our God. Every part of our worship should be done decent and in order. This is why we prepare ahead of time for the services, and we know our preparations take time. That is time well spent with other believers. We say thank you, to our teachers, deacons, ushers, pianist, translator, transportation team and ladies that work hard preparing meals for all to enjoyed. This is all about our Lord Jesus and worship Him to our best. Amen!
2 Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
Paul saying here to the Church at Corinth at that time they were included as gentiles in the faith. If we make an application to our lives this can include us too. We know all are saved by the Grace of God who has extended His love towards us with His plan of Salvation. It just requires our response first. Are you ready to respond to him today? Now may be the only time you have to respond. Come today, don’t delay.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Selah. Amen!
