Have you ever felt about the world that things just aren’t fair?
The answer is that everyone has felt it.
Even when we feel forsaken, abandoned and deserted by circumstances of our own making, it’s human nature to blame, complain, or find someone to blame.
When Eve sinned through disobedience and Adam sinned with her, Adam’s first words were an excuse, It was the woman you gave me Lord! Then when God asked Eve, She also gave an excuse too and blamed the serpent for deceiving me. God it was all your fault!
Humans were built in the image of God at the beginning of time, then sin entered the world, then they claimed the justification of there action and excuses, first with human strength, and then claim the flaws and short comings of others next (it’s their fault). Not even addressing the mistakes caused by temptation, due to their own faults and mistakes. Thus causing sorrow, loneliness, suffering, pain, in our life. Also causing an endless competition and sin. We are constantly blaming others for our faults. it is part of our human nature.
Our sin is generational, are we not suffering with sin because Adam and Eve brought it into this world.
Let’s look at what scripture says about this matter. We can’t go wrong if we read about our troubles in the Bible. It may have already solved our issues. We find the Israelite people went through it before we did, and this is some of their experience. Feelings change, and that is why we change our minds most of the time. It is based on an emotion as to how we feel towards a subject, circumstance, or some type of pain we go through.
Fact is we have the Bible, God’s written word to us. Can we believe and agree that it is the infallible word of God. If your answer is a resounding yes! Then we need to follow what it tells you to do and do it. Our lives will, then change for the better. Amen!
God made a covenant with the Israelite people we call it today the Mosaic covenant it is found in the first five books of the Bible Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy that are ascribed to Moses, its call the Pentateuch. Remember the wilderness, the soldiers, the pillar of fire, the clouds by day. The Red Sea God was with the whole time. He did not leave them.
He will not leave you if you follow Him, believe in Him, trust in Him! How many times do we see them forsake the LORD God? Many times. We do too!
Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Have we never tasted in any degree the gall of Forsaken in that sense?
If so, let us beseech our Lord to save us from any repetition of so unspeakable a sorrow.
May such darkness and evil never return to our world’s presence again!
No one has or will ever go through what Jesus went through on the cross and we in all our sorrows suffering pain and anguish will ever compare to it.
Isaiah 62:4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.
God wants to restore all things in our lives, and he joins us together with people and places to help us through. The joining together creates a bond that is lasting, God’s intention was for the joining together to be forever sometimes.
Man has changed that. If we do not like something we separate ourselves from it quickly and do what feels comfortable in our own mind. You want to know a secret the problem is still there, because you never solved it.
Hephzibah = means “my delight is in her”
Church = The bride of Christ
We want God to delight in us so we must be obedient to Him.
As the Church we are the bride of Christ. As the Church we need to be obedient to our God.
We want the bridegroom (Jesus) to say “my delight is in her” ( Us the Church )
If He is not delighted with her, would He marry her? Most likely not.
Beulah = means “married”
As the bridegroom wants his bride to marry him, and he wants her without blemish. The Church needs to be without fault. We as a collective must be obedient and all are included if one fails, we all fail so we must help and hold up one another and keep us all accountable to one another. So, we may be presented without blemish.
Isaiah 62:5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.
Young man married a virgin –remember when you got married?
As the bridegroom rejoiced over the bride- remember when you were overjoyed to see your bride? Jesus loves you so much and He give you all!
Christ is often called a bridegroom, and his church a bride verses1-5 The Son of God here assures his church of his unfailing love, and his pleading for her under all trails and difficulties. She shall be called by a new name, a pleasant name, such as she was never called by before. He shall call her his spouse, this is a yet greater honor, especially considering what a forlorn (pitifully sad and abandoned or lonely, hopeless state) condition she had been in. Such as the state of Church in the world before the preaching of the gospel message.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Selah. Amen.
This is an amazing and blessed promise. Jesus is to be with the disciples when He is gone, with all the disciples, with all knowledge, with all power, with them all the days (all sorts of days, weakness, sorrows, joy, power), till the consummation of the age.
Jesus said, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
You are Never Alone.
