Do we preach….To point to Jesus

I started this year in the book of Job four preachers who thought they were right.

Who was using Job in a mighty way….God.

Eliphaz……You are a sinner.

Job 4:8 Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.

Bildad……It is your children.

Job 8:4 If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;

Zophar …..You are a liar.

Job 11:3 Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?

Elihu…..Wrath

Job 32:5 When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.

Job 38:2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

God asks 39 questions in Job Chapter 38

Job 38:22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,

We will consider one question.

What can we learn from snow?

First- The Unity of the Snow.

All snow flakes are different.

What does a snow flake weigh?

It will not hurt the hand of an infant.  Yet, It can block roads and make life stop.

How Unity.

What is your part in the body?   Do you care as long as it is of God?

Psalm 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ

Second- The Reality of Snow

The weather man says it is going to snow, Get food…Get wood…make ready…

The weather man can cause a run on the store yet,  we can’t get people to Church.

          Is the Incarnation a lie?

Is Calvary make believe?

Is the Resurrection a delusion?

Is Olivet a masquerade?

Is Gethsemane a motion picture?

 John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

How about when you walk into a room they see Jesus and their need for him you become that reality.

Third- There are so many who have never seen snow.

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

          They are hungry and He is bread.

They are thirsty and He is water.

They are blind and He is sight.

They are lost and He is salvation.

Do you believe that?

We as a group must be looking for the lost, and as a body bringing them to Jesus.

Fourth-The beauty of the snow.

A ugly hillside can be made beautiful with a covering.

I know what I was, and what I am…the Blood of Jesus like the snow covered it.

Romans 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.

James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

It’s not about us, and how righteous we are, but what we can do.

“Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow”?
