The “nature” of humanity (living soul) as described in the Bible is what makes us who we are. A person’s maturity is the sum of all the qualities that make them who they are. This is the character inherent in each individual, and it constitutes their personality. According to the Bible, every human being is born with Adam’s nature, which is sinful; we have a nature that seeks self-gratification. As partakers of the divine nature, believers have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them. God declares that we are “more than conquerors” because of the power of the Holy Spirit within our hearts.
Apostle Paul is telling us we are the partakers of grace of God, the love, justice, and wisdom of God, if we believe and are obedient.
Apostle Paul is telling us here the reason “the grace of God” required that Jesus “should taste death.” of the cross for our redemption. This redemption plan of God altogether harmonizes with the love, justice, and wisdom of God Himself.
Definitions; Redemption & Salvation
Redemption is the price Jesus paid to buy humanity back from sin. It cost Jesus His life. Redemption is the method or action that takes place by paying the debt for incurred by sin.
Salvation is the state of being rescued or saved from sin’s consequences. Salvation is what occurs after acceptance of Jesus, we become saved, covering justification, sanctification, and ultimately glorification.
Jesus Christ the Mediator of the new covenant and is the mediator of the old covenant. This would explain the two donkeys in the book of Matthew during the triumphal entry. Old covenant (Old Testament) spoken by God and New covenant (New Testament) spoken by the Lord Jesus. Covering it all. The Law of Moses, and the Teachings of Jesus.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
When we come to accept Jesus in our lives, we become new creatures we no longer desire the old ways of life. We should desire to do something for God.
2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
Reconciled of God, means He has given us the restoration of a broken relationship into peace and harmony with Him. So, now that God Has imparted this ministry of reconciliation, we can restore broken relationships with God and others. It is precisely this that enables us to participate with a spirit of service and become partakers in ministry.
Hebrews 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
Jesus that sanctified all who believe that Jesus is the son of the living God and are one in spirit. They will be called the brethren for they are in one spirit with God.
We are all created in the image of God; since we were made in His image, we must resemble our Father in Heaven. The Bible tells us in Genesis 1:26 And God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” The trinity is made up of the triune God; God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit of God Three in one.
Sanctified- “to be set apart” for God’s special purpose.
Justified – being legally declared righteous and acquitted of all guilt by God.
Just -if- I ’ed never sinned!
So, this is telling us as believer we can come together in one spirit, one mind, and in one unified voice to praise and worship God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit of God. We should never be ashamed of the worship of Him. God is faithful to keep His “great and precious promises,” and we praise Him for our Savoir and Redeemer. Jesus Christ; for the gift of Holy Spirit; and for the everlasting life we enjoy as partakers of His divine nature.
Hebrews 2:12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
As partakers we should never be ashamed of preaching and teaching the word of God or saying the name of Jesus whether inside or outside the Church, along the way to Church or far away from the Church.
Furthermore, since our Savior gave everything for us, we should also sing of our redeemer. “What is man that He is mindful of us” God desires our worship and praise of Him. We need that same desire in us to have God in our hearts and minds always. That shows our God, we genuinely love Him.
Hebrews 2:13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
We must rely completely on God and follow wherever He leads us. We must trust that He has the best intentions for us and obey Him. The Bible tells us, “God will never leave us nor forsake us” Even in our darkest moments, God is with us; He remains unchanged even in times of pain and sorrow. God, who is always with us, desires that we become partners who believe, trust, and follow Him with sound judgment and patience.
Apostle Paul’s telling us he trusts the Lord Jesus, and he will continue to trust Him Paul also has taken care of those children God has sent his way to worship with him. Just as the Lord God has sent each one of you all here to be partakers in the work here at Riverview Baptist Church to be Sanctified “to be set apart” for God’s special purpose. Also to be Justified, being legally declared righteous and acquitted of all guilt by God through blood of Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 2: 14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, was crucified for your sins and mine; He willingly obeyed God’s will; and as the Victor over death, He rose again after His death. He grants us who become partakers of salvation when we believe and confess. By which God enables us to receive and obtain His indescribable love, and eternal life, which is none other than God’s grace. This is the very way by which we can obtain eternal life with the holy God. Amen!
Hebrews 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Hebrews 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Hebrews 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
God is eternal and remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. Since today is an opportunity given to us, I hope we will become fellow workers who serve one another, encourage one another, set aside jealousy and pride in every way, offer one another counsel, and live as people of gratitude.
These verses are clear that it is impossible once we are enlightened and tasted the heavenly gift to, not be a partaker of it or the Holy Ghost. Indeed, it seems impossible for us to reject it. We must carry out the ministry God has entrusted to us to the very end.
Once we taste God’s good word and see its power, it will naturally transform us. This is because we have tasted and experienced it. Now that we know the difference, we long for what is good rather than what is evil.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Amen!
