We are Gods creation, and we are made in His image. We are the crowning jewel of all his creations. God knows us. God knows how to bring us all to salvation. Our God is looking for those people who will allow Him to shape them into the instruments He requires to do His divine work.
Today I would like to share about how God (the potter) molds the clay (you and I) into the useful vessel. This is that Master, Servant relationship.
Potter chooses the clay he will use, does not matter the color, the race, male or female or where it comes from. He will at some point use all of them. Just as Jesus choose the twelve. Clay really is nothing but clay, until it is molded and formed to the intent of the potter, upon his wheel. Clay has no plans of its own. Clay is moldable, and totally submissive to the will of its potter.
Are you moldable, and totally submissive to the will of the potter?
Obedience is always better than sacrifice.
Do you want to be one? Are you ready to let God lead you?
Isaiah 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
Jeremiah 18:2 Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.
Jeremiah 18:3-6
We must go to the potter’s house (church) where the work will take place. Go to your local Bible believing Church, God’s House. We must go to where his word is preached. Amen! Preaching and teaching of God’s word and Discipleship. We become partakers of divine workmanship.
Consider the potter’s work.
First, the potter must select the clay he will use. Jesus chose the twelve. God chose you and me.
God led Pastors, Deacons, and Teachers will select those that are most promising to continue with the work of the Lord. Those that are faithful, committed, and devoted are likely to be selected.
God uses holy vessels. So, He finds those who will allow Him to remove their impurities. This is where God bring us to salvation.
Will you allow Him to remove your impurities?
Didn’t he choose twelve, whom also he named apostles?
We must be a clean vessel that He can mold and mend into His perfect created will in his image, as he molds you like the potter molds the clay and makes us a masterpiece of God.
Do you want to be usable for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? I do!
Second, the potter must soften the clay. He does this by needing it first.
He works it through his hands until it is softened to his likeness.
Molding and mending- cleansing us of impurities that we don’t need in our life, and changing our mind set to do God’s perfect will and purpose for him. Just as the potter starts to need and shape the clay, God does this to us. Through our trials along our journey with Him.
Third, the potter takes it to the potter’s wheel and adds dabs of water to mold start the shape.
A small spin of the wheel and it is under way.
Our God places us where we are needed for our growth shaping. A little turn and a little test here and there.
Fourth, the potter increases his wheel in motion a little more than the start.
Here is where the potter works to make and shape this clump of clay and makes it into a beautiful useful vessel. Of course, it is messy at first but isn’t every masterpiece before it is perfected.
Our sovereign God works to make and shape this clump of clay and makes it into a beautiful useful vessel for the master use. Of course, we were a mess before he started. He makes us into God led pastors, deacons, and teachers, music director’s, singer, pianist that will work together to mold and make the next generation of leader for the work in God’s house.
Fifth, the potter adds dabs of water to the clay to mold the shape he desires for this masterpiece.
God adds dabs of spiritual water to this clay to mold and shape as He desires.
Sixth, the potter next increases the speed of the wheel faster as the shape becomes more resembles a shape of his desires.
God increases the faith and spirituality to His clay so it will stand in the test and trials of the times. Our shape becomes more resemblance of His image.
Seventh, the potter next takes it off the wheel and it has its shape desired look put it a place to air dry then, he will select the colors he will place on it.
The potter is aware of the flaws in his masterpiece, that is why he will fix them, so they are not to exposed.
Our God is fully aware of ours and He would never give us more than we can handle. He also wants our flaws to be corrected. To be unnoticed.
2Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
We are aware of what our strengths and gifts are, and how we can best use them for God we also aware of what our weaknesses are. That is why he imparts his grace and strength to us.
The final stage is put to the test. Extreme heat and fire tried and fully dried in kiln (oven). Tried and tested we are ready to step out by faith and do the work of the Lord for him and fill with Spirit till all shall see.
1Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
Will you allow God to shape you into exactly what the Almighty God is looking for?
Will you give God the praise, honor, and glory that He is do?
Today is the day of salvation, Now is the time. God has given us grace and mercy for each day. Today He wants you to be that perfect vessel, and masterpiece.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Amen!
Grace to you!
