In today’s society we are asked to believe and trust all the theories of men, but God’s word tell us we must consider the word of God before we consider the word of men. If we trust only the word of men we can lose our faith, and our life, or at least weaken our faith, and weaken our lives. The hearers of God’s Word can understand that the treasures of that knowledge and can transform their inner life, and they can become perfect in the image of Jesus Christ.
How do you get faith?
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Where can you hear the word of God? Where can you increase your faith?
In Church. In Church
Stand in the power of God alone!
1Corinthians 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
God created the world in which we live man had nothing to do with it. Genesis 1:1
It is for his good pleasure that we exist. We naturally belong to God.
God’s wisdom gives us the power to increase our faith.
God’s power gives us the wisdom to increase our faith.
Our faith in God gives us the wisdom & power to overcome the world.
That your faith should not stand by itself. That the illumination of our souls and our conversion to God appears to have nothing human in it: our belief, therefore, of the truths which have been proposed to you is founded, not in human wisdom, but in Divine power: human wisdom was not applied; and human power, if it had been applied, could not have produced the change needed.
1Corinthians 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
Paul is telling us here that the men of this world may not believe the word of God and they may be important people in the world Kings and Princes, learned scholars. In Proverbs we see Solomon relayed on his wisdom, and it led him to turn from God.
Have you ever heard the road to hell is paved with good intentions. It may sound good and make sense but it could be totally against the word of God.
1Corinthians 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
Paul does not mean by the “mystery” or “hidden wisdom” in God’s word, that it can’t be found or learned. It can, but we must submit ourselves to reading and studying it first.
That is how you can find and understand that hidden wisdom and mysteries of God’s knowledge.
1Corinthians 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Paul says, had these wise men and Kings and Princes of this world read and committed themselves to the study of God’s word they may have never killed our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
1Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
God has created humans in a very special way. We all have five senses in which we can view things of this world that we are in. However, we are limited some, more than others.
Eye has not seen,- no one has seen Jesus, no one has seen the blessing ahead of receiving them.
Ear has not heard,-no one will come without hearing about Jesus.
Neither have entered into the heart of man, – no one will come without being shown about Jesus.
The things which God hath prepared for them that love him.- God has prepare heaven for us.
1Corinthians 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
God has sent us the Holy Spirit to comfort us and to guide us and he is the one that can reveal to us the truths and mysteries and hidden wisdom of his word and to get us to follow him we all need to be more sensitive to his drawing of us to himself.
We don’t and can’t know what God has in store for us unless we know God first. We must have faith in him to deliver as he has promised to us and our forefathers.
Hebrews 11:1 says, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Our eyes have not seen, faith. We can only see the result of faith displayed by others.
We can read about it in the Bible, and image it, and it is that substance of those things we have read and imaged. That we hope for, and that is our evidence we rely on, because we have not seen it or experienced it. None of us have seen the crucifixion but we believe it happened and we have weighed up the evidence and found it to be overwhelmingly true. So, we believe.
Here is what we believe!
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
That is where our Faith should be in Jesus Christ alone!
