Fellowship brings us together. Fellowship helps with your growth in the Lord Jesus. We all could us growth in ourlives. Fellowship brings accountability to one another. We all can learn from one another, each one of us has a different, and have different experience that are unique to each individual. Church is not just about self. God has brought people together so that we can share our experiences with one another. We never know what we share with others may cause change in ourselves, or in others. If we look back in our lives we can tell God brought us together with others so He can bring about change in our lives and the lives of others. Or it may cause us to work with others. We need to work together not against one another.
Sometimes as change happens, the Church will grow, and people change their ways of thinking. This is good and what God wants for us. Others still maybe some that fall prey to backsliding on God or they may get offended at something that has occur in the local Church and choose to stay away or they may choose not to do things that the Church is participating in. This could lead to murmuring and disputing. When this occurs, the leadership must act quickly before it spreads to others. This must be worked through and discussed by all in order to reconcile differences amongst the brethren. Remember the Jewish people in the desert for forty years. They never made it because of their murmuring and disputing.
Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
We come together for worship!
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together -Fellowship gives growth in the Lord Jesus and with our fellow co-laborers or partakers together in ministry. It can be our testimony that can help others through their difficult times. You never know who you can help when you share your experiences with others.
Exhorting one another- lifting one another up not tearing them down. Each person is important to the church, and we must do all we can to help them in their spiritual walk with Christ. This does not mean we have to tolerate wicked and ungodly behavior. We must be able to discern the difference.
And as ye see the day approaching this is the return of Jesus and the rapture of the Church, we must be ready at all times. Today evil is thriving in this world, and I not sure how much more of our nonsense God will take.
We come together for wisdom!
Proverbs 11:14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
Where no counsel is, the people fall- we all need counsel from time to time lest we fall. When we come together, we will have multiple opinions. This can be good if we learn compromise. We all need direction in our lives. We desire a Godly leader to give us the direction in the way we need to go. Jesus told his disciples to go out in numbers of two for safety. We cannot go wrong if we seek the counsel of many. Especially Godly counsel. Work together, but don’t hinder one another. This can increase our spiritual level. Most of all Follow scripture.
1 Timothy 5:18 “Don’t muzzle the ox” do not hinder someone’s ministry.
God wants all things done decent and in order and it is where staff and other opinions come together to have the right will of God done. We must all come together to understand the will of God and there is safety in numbers. We must follow wise counsel. If it does not follow scripture, it must be wrong. It must not go against the word of God. If it does, it’s not the will of God. Don’t claim it.
We come together for prayer!
We can pray for one another’s needs.
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
If we lack needs, we should ask the Holy Spirit to help us.
Our infirmities- sufferings, those things we need help with. The ones we cannot get rid of alone. These are things we struggle with. The Holy Spirit to help us overcome those struggles.
With groanings which cannot be uttered- extreme sufferings, these are those things that have really hurt us, and have caused us to sin against our brother or sister.
Holy Spirit, intercede on our behalf. Just as Jesus intercedes on our behalf with our God. The Holy Spirit helps us where we fall short in our lives and get us on track. He will indwell us and help us with our prayer life, with our faith, and help us to love for one another.
Mark 3:35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
Family reference- We have been brought into another family, “The family of God” and we have multiple brothers and sisters in the Lord. They can help us.
Once we know the will of God and follow the will of God, we will be excepted by the brothers and sisters of God. And be welcomed by “The family of God”. We can have sweet fellowship with likeminded people and participate in the work that Lord Has for the local Church. We become one big family to one another.
If we are all doing the will of God than there will be sweet harmony there. Just as the Choir sings in harmony under the right direction. Amen!
This also brings out that accountability we spoke of earlier. Because family is accountable to one another because they rely on one another.
1John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God- Bible written so that we may know who Jesus Christ is and what He did for us on the cross. We may know what He wants us to do. After we know Him we can have Fellowship with like mined people.
That ye may know- John says, we may know God, and we must know the word of God, and that it teaches us about the God of that word. Because when we know Him and His word, we can know that we have eternal life, if we believe on the name of His son Jesus Christ.
Who is Jesus? the Son of the Living God!
That Right! We believe on the name of the Son of God – Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God! Amen!
We all can all agree that there is something wrong with living a life of sin. God sent his only Son into this world so that we might be saved from our sin. We all can all agree that we need fellowship, worship, wisdom, and prayer. So, as we come together, we may grow stronger together.
This is the importance of fellowship.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
요한복음 3:16하나님께서 세상을 이처럼 사랑하셔서 그의 독생자를 주셨으니, 이는 그를 믿는 사람은 누구든지 멸망하지 않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이니라.
