Isaiah received his marching orders “Go, and tell this people” “Hear ye”  and to “see ye”   Ye= you! 

We need our ears opened to hear the word of God.  It increases our Faith. Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

We need our eyes opened to see the word of God. It will increase our knowledge. Proverbs 2:6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Knowledge brings us wisdom, with wisdom understanding.

God wants us to hear and see His word. It may be hard for us to understand, or hard to take in at first but, if we ask for understanding, He will give it to us.  As Isaiah went forth in obedience. We now have ended up with his prophecy to read in God Word. This has filled with the greatest news! We also, need to go forth in obedience and share this Greatest News!

Why do us healthy bodied people act as if they are deaf or blind?

I didn’t hear that..  I didn’t see that.. I am not responsible for that..

So many doubting Thomas’s in this world,  If I didn’t see it, I won’t believe it.

  You know what they are trying to hid their sin from God!

NEWS FLASH! He Sees it! It will never be hidden from Him.

Some of us even get so arrogant they say let him watch!  Lord, please have mercy on them!

Some say Lord send me a sign so I may believe.

We are always looking for a sign…

The Greatest News!

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

We are always looking for a sign God Knew that,  that’s why he himself arranged The Greatest sign for us.

God is our creator he knows us.

Our problem is we are not paying attention to the signs.

At least that was always the excuse I was given when I pulled someone over for speeding. They almost never saw the signs…. “What signs officer”?…

I think this is why God sent prophets to tell beforehand the prophecy, and had it told to us so we could hear it and written for us to see in His Word.  Amen!

Isaiah 7:14 That’s a specific sign! Read it again.

Man can try to recreate this action through fertility treatments and gain some results but he will never be God, nor even be close to God.   God cause a virgin to conceive and bear a son. Do you see it,  God created a child with out a man.. being involved in the process.  Amen!  When man does this he has to have a man to complete the process. or it does not work.  Wow! What a miracle God preformed!  That’s a specific sign!

Nothing is impossible for our God. But it’s always impossible for man.

Next, we see  Immanuel = God With us…  Amen!  God is truly with us, if we ask him to be.

Isaiah foretold us ..

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:- The sign given to us from God.

Unto us a child is born- He came down into this worldly environment and was born into this sin filled earth. He walked among his creation.

Unto us a son is given- A son was given do die a cruel death on the cross for you and me.

The government shall be upon his shoulder- A. The entire world he created was placed in His responsibility and upon Him.  B. A symbol of His Rule and Reign.  C. He would end up taking the entire weight of the worlds sin Past , Present, and Future sin upon His shoulders and bearing that weight on the cruel cross as he bled and died for our sins.

His name shall be called Wonderful- He is the Wonderful creator of this amazing world  in which we live I can’t wait to see what heaven is like.

His name shall be called Counsellor-He is our Counsellor at the judgment representing you and I.

His name shall be called The mighty God-He is the mighty God the creator of the entire multiverse and all its contents. His power is immense.

His name shall be called The everlasting Father-He is the everlasting Father is always our Father and he has a responsibility for his children. he is always with us.

His name shall be called The Prince of Peace-He is the Prince of Peace where he is is always peace and comfort.

Should we not address Him properly by one of theses names it is only fitting.

Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

His government,  his kingdom-Will have peace, order and  justice and there shall be no end. Perfect peace, order and  justice.  not like our government today. Seems like we no peace, order and  justice.

Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

It was hard for them to believe…. such a mighty and strong and powerful ruler would come from Bethlehem.

Remember Nathaniel response, “Can any good come out of Nazareth?”

City of David- Such a small place on the map surely the lord would pick a major city filled with million’s of people .. Bethlehem, really!

We cannot save ourselves, we need a savior. His name is Jesus Christ.

Isaiah said,  “Here am I Lord use me!”

Did you say that?

Isaiah was commissioned /ordained to do this, and we have an obligation as well as believers/disciples to share the hope and joy of Jesus Christ to the lost and dying world!

Are you doing it?

Are you taking The Greatest News to a lost and dying world?

Titus 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

We are to be teaching a lost and dying world about Jesus.

We are to be teaching them how to live according to God’s word, not this present world.

Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

As we approach the Christmas season let us show them the sign God gave them the nativity and the star.  Amen!      It is all about baby Jesus being born, the savior of the World. Jesus = The Lord of Salvation
