In battle if there is a space or a gap between the battlelines, the enemy can walk right in and wreak havoc and kill or take many prisoners. This is seen so clearly in present day our borders, our schools, our Churches, and our homes. Satan seems to have free reign. He walks right in the gap that is left open uncovered or unmanned. Israel had this problem too.
Have you ever heard the saying “Give them an inch, and they will take a mile.”

That should stand in the gap – the breach, image for interceding between the people and God.
For the Lord our God- so many are ashamed to share there faith today.
For the Land-For our country, we used to say the pledge of allegiance in school not so much today. The land where you raised your children, the land they will inherit one day.
I found none! – literally there was not a righteous man in the city. None to be found, almost like today. Sad state of affairs. God /Yahweh cannot find even one righteous person to justify deferring His judgment a little longer.
Noah, 8 people on Ark
Abraham /Lot/Sodom & Gomorrah,
Israel’s extensive decay demanded justice. God concluded this message against Jerusalem by vowing to pour out His wrath and consume the people with His fiery anger.

Psalm 106:23 Therefore he said that he would destroy them, Had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, To turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
God will destroy them in the end he has taken all he can and that is it.
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Do you have what it takes to defend this massive opening?
