As we reflect to last week Easter Sunday the day. When our Lord Jesus Christ arose from the dead and became victorious over the grave.
Hallelujah Christ Arose!
In order for us to be Seeking the will of God we must first be committed to God.
Why?
Because God is our creator.
He has given us everything we need.
In seeking the will of God in your lives, it must be important to each one of us. We need to make it a priority for each one of us. We must keep it within our minds as we walk along our journey with God. It will help us to live our lives with more of a divine purpose. It helps us in our spiritual growth. Our God is sovereign. Who else can bring the sunshine, moon by night, to give us light? Only our God! Who else could give us the breath of life? Only our God! He is there to help us along our way. God sends people in and out of our lives so we may share our experiences with each other. We do not know how or why or when this may occur. But they will occur. We will since God’s presence when it does happen and only when we are following His will. However, we must make a personal decision and decide to follow God. This is the salvation of John 3:16. Then we can know we are saved. This is the key to the whole process.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Confess and repent and believe. The Bible tells us if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus this is personal. No one else can do it for you. And shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead. You must believe. If we follow this, God’s word is clearly saying thou shalt be saved.
There should be no wavering in our hearts over this issue. We must see things clearly for what they are who has created doubt? It was Satan. It was Satan and he is the father and creator of all lies. Doubt, uncertainty, unsureness can only come from the father and creator of all lies. When we feed into or entertain the lie it creates doubt, uncertainty, unsureness, and this causes us to waver in our faith.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. We must trust God and His word. We must trust that it is the absolute truth. No wavering here. The best commentary to the Bible is the Bible itself. Has it ever lied to you?
How many are married here? Marriage is sacred union between two people, one man and one woman. Marriage is built on trust. We trust that they will keep those marriage vows.
Do you trust your spouse with your life? You must! Marriage is built on trust! That is why God created it with a sacred trust filled union. If your marriage is not built on trust, it could cause contention. It could also be harmful to you. You may even have a hard time sleeping at night if you do not trust your spouse. Praise the Lord for great marriages. Amen! Where both husband and wife work together to help one another throughout life’s twists and turns and ups and downs.
*Here at Riverview, we must stand firm on the word of God and lean not on our own understanding. Please do not waver on this. For this would lead to doubt and uncertainty.
Next we must…
Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
In everything we do we must acknowledge God’s existence.
How many of you have heard of a GPS?
I am sure your GPS and my GPS is different.
GPS= Global Positioning System of this world.
My GPS= God’s Positioning System not of this world god will place us right in the position he wants or needs for us to produce the best for him.
How many of you have gotten lost with your GPS?
My GPS places me right where I need to be all the time with no mistakes.
Then, we must decide within ourselves to change our own will to line up with God’s will. * Jesus prayed in the Garden, not my will be done but thy will be done. We need to apply this to our lives so we can make the necessary changes daily.
*God will place you where he wants you to be the right place at the right time where you can produce the most fruit for Him.
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
We must be willing to sacrifice, our lives, our time, and our talents to God daily. As we are able. We can only do this while we are living. Dead people can do nothing for the Lord.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Don’t follow what this evil world wants you to do. Resist the temptation. Ask God for wisdom and strength. The Holy Spirit will give to you the desires of your heart. Our God is sovereign. And knows what you need before you know what you need. God is the Alpha and Omega He is the beginning and end. He will see you through it all. You do not know today; you do not know tomorrow. God Does! When you look back on your life can you see where God has led you? How many can relate to this? I can. I know he has me in the right place, for the right time for such a time as this! So, transform our old way of thinking, into what would Jesus want me to do. This will lead to you preforming the will of God in your life. It will also create harmony in our lives. We all need that don’t we.
Are you ready for transformation of your mind? Are you ready to trust the Lord?
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God gave His only son, to save you from your sin. What are you willing to give back to God as your reasonable service?
