2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee : for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
Bible tells us that God will provide enough for us. But Humanity is never satisfied with enough, we always want more and more. No matter what it is we are not happy, we always could use more, then when we get more, it still does not satisfy our desire.
We should be happy and satisfied with enough, because it supplies our need. We should be happy and satisfied with enough because it comes down from heaven from God our father. We all need to understand the difference between a need and a want. Need = Sustains Life a must have. A Want= we desire it, but it is not needed to sustain life.
2 Corinthians 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
The Apostle Paul said he had a thorn in his flesh, a physical affliction. So the Apostle Paul pleaded with God three times to remove this physical affliction, but God said, “My grace is sufficient for you.” The Apostle Paul, who fully embraced the strength God gave him in that weakness, not using it for the world or the flesh, but with a complete sense of mission for the Lord, rejoicing and giving thanks, not complaining about his weakness, but boasting that the power of Jesus dwells in him. The Apostle Paul, who understood the mission given for glory, obeying God’s use of him and His permission from above.
The Apostle Paul’s suffering was given to prevent spiritual pride and was part of God’s broader plan to keep His people from becoming overly exalted. God humbles His children in various ways—through physical infirmity, trials, sickness, or other difficult circumstances—and through it all He enables us to overcome our circumstances. Here, the Apostle Paul clearly states that it was the weakness of the flesh, brought on by suffering and pain, that made him weak.
God is all-powerful, and all decisions are His sovereign will. Therefore, we must learn to be thankful and obedient in every circumstance.
1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalty you in due time.
2 Corinthians 12:8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
When the Apostle Paul pleaded three times with Jesus to remove this thorn, God’s word declared, “My grace is sufficient for you.” This word revealed to me that God’s presence is sufficient—no further asking or hearing is needed. My weakness is where Jesus’ power is fully revealed. Jesus gave the Apostle Paul a sufficient and satisfying answer. He enlightened him through His word, revealing spiritual power and knowing precisely what was needed. And Jesus gave abundantly to the Apostle Paul. Sometimes we must endure the circumstances we face. God does not give us more than we can bear, and when we cannot bear it, He provides a way out. For we are His children, whom He humbles and makes lowly, seeking to remove what is unnecessary from our lives.
2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, “My grace is sufficient for thee”: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
The Apostle Paul says here: Lord, I will go on obediently without complaint, continuing the work Jesus has entrusted to me. Most of us would never do that; we would first grieve with complaints and suffering. We would give up or succumb to hardship through Satan’s temptations. We need to meditate on the Bible and pray first.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Grace is the precious love and mercy God bestows upon sinners, encouraging and giving courage, enabling gratitude, and continually bestowed—it is called boundless grace.
“My grace is sufficient for thee.”
The Apostle Paul’s grace is sufficient; he give thanks and glory to God.
It is boundless grace bestowed upon us. God makes us wise, guides us to decide what is right, and bestows grace for the sake of the beautiful. Sometimes grace is given elegantly, sometimes not; for due respect and merit, or to show mercy and compassion to sinners.
God gives grace for our life. The word ‘life’ is used because our existence is both life and a journey. We do not know what will happen the next moment. Our walk with Christ is the same. A journey is the act of moving from one place to another. As believers, we are traveling well on this earth, journeying to reach heaven where God dwells.
“My grace is sufficient for thee.”
God’s grace is not the kind of grace we can obtain from people in this world. We are imperfect beings, and we sometimes disappoint one another. God’s grace surpasses anything we can imagine. This is because God loves us. Therefore, Jesus, who came to this earth, was crucified for sinners, overcame the power of death, and rose again—Jesus Himself is God’s great grace. Is this grace not sufficient for you? Yes! It is truly sufficient. Be thankful and obey God.
Jesus always desires the best for us. He protects and helps us all grow in faith, to live gratefully for the life He has given us, to devote ourselves to worship, to serve one another, and to become those who discern what is right in life.
“My grace is sufficient for thee”
God’s grace is perfectly timed and given exactly when it is needed the most in our lives. This helps us to move in the proper direction. God wants us to be in. “Where He Leads Me, I Will Follow.” Amen!
Are you willing to go Where He Leads you? Are you willing to change into what God want you to be?
God loves you all and Obedient better than sacrifice.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Amen.
