How long do you think God will wait for us? 하나님께서는 얼마만큼 우리를 위해 기다리실꺼 같은가요?
September 27, 2025
How long must God wait for us? God’s love for humanity and His desire for each person to repent and receive His grace—He waits to bestow it. But if we wait too long, the time for grace and the precious day will soon pass us by. Now, this very moment, is the day to receive grace. Have you met the gift of salvation, His only Son Jesus, and been saved?
Who can endure God’s wrath and judgment? No one can protect themselves, and no one can be protected. No one, nothing can do anything! We will all be judged for the good and evil deeds we have done on this earth. Now is the time to repent. Only Jesus’ salvation, only through Jesus’ blood, can escape God’s judgment and deliver us from His wrath.
After judgment, whom will God use in His kingdom? He will use the faithful and obedient. Believers, are you those who can be used in God’s kingdom?
Zephaniah delivered a message centered on “the day of the Lord,” urging His people to repent.
When weather forecasts deliver storm warnings, people listen intently and become highly sensitive to alerts about approaching typhoons and storms. Driven by fear, they rush to stores and gas stations to buy fuel and food, leaving shops completely sold out. And when a doctor says a specific medicine is needed for recovery, almost everyone follows it blindly. It’s truly frustrating.
Yet, even when Jesus, the prophets, and priests sent by the sovereign Creator warned of impending disaster, people neither believed nor were sensitive, refusing to listen. This is because they take God’s unchanging love and grace for granted.
This attitude of taking the waiting and giving God lightly can be seen even within today’s churches. Using this as an excuse, many seats remain empty, filled by hypocritical Christians who claim to believe yet are indistinguishable from the world.
Zephaniah shows that the day of God’s coming judgment is near. This judgment includes the people of that era, all sinners, and the inhabitants of this world. None of us can prevent the day of God’s coming judgment. God promises to form and rule a new remnant people, including the nation of Israel.
Zephaniah warns against the existence of idols that claim to replace God. These idols teach people not to trust in God.
Substitutes—false gods, idols, Satan—are counterfeits made in the name of God’s greatness, stealing the holy God’s creation and His creatures.
Zephaniah 2:1 Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired
Israel is that nation not desired. Just like our Churches are not desired today. As if there were those who lead the way in adding to evil and causing confusion to word of God.
The first part of the verse tell us to gather yourselves together, this is the first thing we must do gather yourselves together with like minded people, so we can accomplish what the Lord God wants us to do. We can learn from one another. We can increase in faith.
Zephaniah 2:2 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD’S anger come upon you.
Day of the Lord will come. In an hour when you think not!
Zephaniah 2:3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.
We as Christians need to understand we have the answers to eternal life, we can show other how to come to a Holy God and to be reconciled. We can show them that they are in a state of sinful condition. We have the answer Jesus Saves! Repent and confess make it right. God means business with everyone. Preach the gospel of truth and life! Tell them the truth of Gods word!
This world is filled with sin, and darkness and we have a group of youth that need the truth, they are seeking it, and most of us are too willing to just walk by and let them die in their sinful condition and not share the truth of God.
How long will God’s patience endure toward His people? Awaken quickly and repent. Yes, God desires to bestow grace with joy and gratitude upon those who repent. Indeed, it is so! God is love, and He gave Jesus to those who repent!
Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Paul says that no one who has seen creation can make excuses. Everyone here has seen creation. Unless they are blind, that is.
God who allows us to breathe! Therefore, if we do not acknowledge God, we are all become liars, and the exalted God leaves us without excuse. We also can fully witness God’s wrath revealed in the Book of Revelation. This will bring the end of this world as we know it.
What can protect me from God’s wrath and judgment?
Nothing! We will all be judged for our deeds on earth, whether good or evil. Repenting and confessing our sins is our only hope to escape this impending judgment.
Romans 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
God will judge everyone according to their deeds, and no one can escape this judgment. If you have wronged anyone—your brothers, your friends, your neighbors—please seek reconciliation and forgiveness. For God delights in this, and you must not bear the burden of sin any longer.
Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Isaiah tells us that we have a limited time to repent and confess of our sins, and seek the Lord while he may be found. While He is close to you.
Amos 5:4 For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:
If we want to live we must seek the Lord God and ask for forgiveness of our sins done while in this lost and dying world.
Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
We see Matthew tells us ask, and it shall be given you. We ask through prayer our direct communication with our Lord and Savior, to forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Amen! Selah!
