Hallelujah! Christ Arose!
As we follow the History of Jesus resurrection morning the witnesses to what occurred this day have recorded in all the four gospels and each one of them are similar and are presented from four viewpoints. Like any witness each person sees what is important to them and that is how we have the four gospel viewpoints in the Bible. It was inspired by the Holy Spirit written this way for all people in this world to understand.
God grace is on display here through his sovereignty making it known to men and women alike. God is the Alpha and Omega. The beginning and then ending of everything. This was all God’s plan for His Son Jesus. To take away the sin of the world.
Matthew’s view here shows Jesus was born a King. He lived as a King. He died as a King, and He arose from the dead a King. Amen!
The Jewish people were looking for the Messiah to rule and reign, but they do not believe Jesus is Messiah.
All God’s people said, Hallelujah! Christ Arose!
All agree to fact Jesus Christ was the person that was crucified, and he is risen as he said. All other religions record the death of their leader. Only the Christian faith records in the Bible Resurrection of our creator. All other religious leaders were human and are dead. They could save themselves, nor you or me. Only Jesus is alive! Our Lord and Savior Jesus Arose!
Only Jesus is the son of the living God! Only Jesus can save us!
All God’s people said, Hallelujah! Christ Arose!
All agree and say that it occurred on the first day of the week, and that the stone was rolled/taken away. Fact it was rolled away not by human hands.
The power of God is on display. This stone can be compared our sin that needs to be removed before we can have a right relationship with our God. Amen.
We cannot remove our sin ourselves; it is too heavy for human hands. Only our Lord and Savior can remove it.
All God’s people said, Hallelujah! Christ Arose!
Not all of the four gospels include all the women that went to the tomb that morning John only list one Mary Magdalene. Luke lists four Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were there. The number does not matter it is the fact they went to anoint with sweet spices the body of Jesus. It was part of the burial process.
All God’s people said, Hallelujah! Christ Arose!
They all agree Angels were present that day! As they were at Jesus birth. Matthew says the angel of the Lord, Mark says they saw a young man sitting on the right side. Luke said two men stood by them in shining garments, John says two angels in white sitting, head and foot where Lord lay. This is a clear display of the divine presence God. Angels were present at the birth and death of Jesus. The Alpha & Omega the beginning of life and the end of life. The annunciation of the Joy to the world, was now crucified and arose from the death unto life everlasting.
How quickly they forgot! How quickly we forget!
