Father’s Responsibility
1John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.
Our Father in Heaven loved us first, we are his creation, he showed this by sending his only son to die on a cross for our sins. God will provide for us and want us to succeed. God is always Faithful to us. God is Available for us. God will Teach us. God will Help us. God will Encourage us. God deserves Respect from us. God is Strong =FATHERS
Our earthly FATHERS should love us too! Should provide for us and want us to succeed. Should go to great depths for us. Should always show Faithfulness to us. Should be Available to us. Should Teach us. Should Help us. Should Encourage us. Should be Respected by us. Should be Strong for us =FATHERS
God’s word shows us how to do it. Fathers wake up!
1John 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
Fathers do not show our families hatred.
Seen /unseen- Children learn by seeing you do it…first. Don’t show them hatred. show them Love That what god has showed you by giving your life. Love one another, not hatred for one another.
We have not seen God, but we have faith we will see him one day! show them faithfulness.
Fathers do not be liars.
Fathers do not lie to your children tell them the truth of God’s word. Easter is the resurrection of Jesus, not an Easter Bunny. Christmas is the time we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, not Santa Claus. They will rebel when they find out you were not honest. Remember Satan is the father of all lies.
Proverbs 4:1 Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father and attend to know understanding.
Hear- requires us to listen well.
Children- We were once children, and if we are obedient, we can become the children of God.
The instruction of a father –follow those instructions of God’s word. Fathers give out the instructions of God’s Word.
Attend to know understanding-God will always give you understanding of his word. Fathers help those children to understand God’s word.
Deuteronomy 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. {teach: Heb. whet, or, sharpen} (Deu 11:19 similar)
Teach them diligently unto thy children talk of them- God will teach us his word. Fathers need to teach their children, God’s Word. Diligently- earnestly with commitment. Talk- requires communication. God – requires communication with us, via prayer. Fathers -talk with your children about God and all he has done for us. Don’t go through life with no communication with your family!
When thou sittest in thine house-God will talk to us sitting in thine house, Fathers -talk with your children sitting in thine house.
When thou walkest by the way- God will talk to us walking by the way. Fathers -talk with your children walking by the way.
When thou liest down- God will talk to us when lie down to rest. Fathers -talk with your children when they lie down to rest.
When thou risest up- God will talk to us in the morning. Fathers -talk with your children when you rise in the morning.
John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
The hour cometh, and now is-The hour is right now! We are in Church.
The true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth- We always need to worship God in spirit and truth. Fathers need to teach their children how to worship God in spirit and truth.
The Father seeketh such to worship him. – God the father seeks them out who really truly worship him, and he is ready to bless them. Fathers- seek them that follow his instruction and gives them his blessings.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God loves us all and wants all of us to be saved! Fathers love all their children and want them to know the love of God.
